Clueless Joe

Please buy Joe Morgan a clue. He discusses the lack of base stealers in the Yankees lineup with Jeter out, and mentions Damon and Cano, and that Abreu used to steal bases. Hello McFly!! Cano has 10 steals in his career and has been caught just as many times, not exactly Rickey Henderson there Joe. He actually even had half as many steals last year as freaking Miguel Cairo. What an assclown. Joe, how about A-Rod’s 24 steals, Abreu’s (who used to steal) 25, and even Melky’s 13. Add it up, and the Yankees were 4th in the AL last year in steals, god forbid Joe had any idea.

Tampering

One of the biggest issues people had with "Spygate" was that the league had recently sent out a memo instructing teams not to video tape opposing coaches. That the Patriots would so boldly ignore the league drew the ire of many throughout the country. In light of the recent tampering memo sent to all NFL teams that was overwhelmingly ignored, isn't the Patriots igoring the league memo just the status quo? I'm sure that every year the tampering memo is sent out, and every year it is disregarded by several teams. Honestly, how would a team know when the NFL is being serious (such as taping) and when their threats are truly empty (tampering). A rule is a rule is a rule, and it shouldn't be up to the teams to determine which rules the league will enforce. And since several people agree that the Patriots gained advantage would be minimal, isn't it a bigger deal and disadvantage to a team to lose a Pro Bowler like Asante Samuel by undercutting the rules? I guess because the Patriots didn't sign anybody's unrestricted free agents early, it will be a non-issue. Of course had the Pats come to a 1st hour agreement with Lance Briggs/Justin Smith/Calvin Pace, etc., the media would be all over it. Oh well, at least we're bringing Moss back with a huge chip on our shoulder.

What the Faulk Hall of Fame

-Memorable Players from my Childhood. Reasons provided if I feel like it.

Lars Tate
No much of a 3 year NFL career (although his TD #'s would have made him a decent fantasy sleeper). So why's he on here? Because I liked him, thought his name was cool (it is), and took a whole lot of shit for it.

Sam Horn
Big time minor league slugger. Would have been the greatest softball player of all time. Hit mammoth home runs, had a mammoth ass, and probably struck out once every 1.5 at bats. In the Hall of Fame for all of the above, as well as, shoving me when I was about 10 years old as a group of fans blocked his way to the bus trying to get his autograph. I wasn't even mad, it was just pretty cool to be shoved by a 6'5" 250 lb(in his dreams) pro player.

Hart Lee Dykes
Another great name, also another in a long line of Patriots 1st round draft busts (in the 80's of course). Pretty strong rookie season, especially considering he played on a team in which 4 QB's attempted as least 90 passes, and not a single one had more TD's than picks. (Jesus, after looking that up, I appreciate Brady even more, which I didn't think was possible) They also had a leading rusher that averaged 3.4 yards a carry. How did this team win a single game, nevermind 5? Back to Dykes, got hurt in year 2 and never played again, thanks to a barroom brawl with Irving Fryar.....his teammate.

Scott "Missin" Sisson
We all wanted to be professional athletes when we grew up, and for a while we all really thought we had a chance. Looking back at Missin Sisson, I still believe I could kick better than him. Bill Parcells, when asked if Sisson could kick in the NFL answered "I don't necessarily think so". This quote, by the way, was when Parcells was Sisson's coach. Sisson also caused a season ticket holder to get kicked out of the stadium when he wouldn't take down his sign "Home of Missin Sisson." Can you blame him, it couldn't have been more true. In this historic 2 year run as Pats' kicker, he missed an astonishing 5 of 21 kicks less than 30 yards, but don't fret, his "big" leg allowed him to convert a whopping 5 of 13 from 40-49 yards. I don't know about the 40-49 yard kicks, but I am sure with some practice I could outkick old Missin Sisson on the chip shots.
